In the last two years, I have had the opportunity to work on two projects with the objective to support the career development of emerging artists through mentorship programmes. This experience, between the European project Moving Matters and the Pla d’Impuls al Teatre in Catalonia, allows me to select clear conclusions about the professionalization of our sector.
Many current programmes confuse mentorship with simple volunteerism or with the delivery of a contact agenda. However, a telephone number is useless without a clear strategic framework. It is time to analyse with honesty the benefits and defects of these accompaniment structures.

The crossroads of cultural networks: between bureaucracy and loss of identity
Professional meetings are engines of innovation, but today they require a deep revision of their relation with institutions and finance to preserve their original essence (IETM meeting Sofia 2024)
After formalizing my resignation from the international network IETM, after three decades of membership and two periods in its Board of Directors, I consider it a professional duty to contribute elements to this debate. The macro-structures of cooperation in Europe experience a deep systemic crisis.
The dependence on programmes like Creative Europe has transformed independent platforms into production agencies subordinate to the directives of Brussels. This administrative drift, combined with the illusion of a diversity financed by geopolitical interests and the linguistic monopoly of English, reduces the critical thinking of the sector. It is urgent to design new spaces of collaboration based on autonomy of criteria, ethical revision of finance, and technological plurilinguism.
MENTOR CULTURAL / Keys for development and mobility
Talent is your engine, strategy is your fuel
A phrase from an "engineer" perspective that I frequently use in my professional mentorships: "Talent is your engine, and strategy is the fuel that allows you to move". A great artistic work is useless if we do not know how to plan distribution, manage tours, or organize performances. To construct solid and sustainable artistic projects, talent requires a precise direction. This audiovisual content originates directly from the concepts that I analyse in detail in Episode 03/02 of my podcast Mentor Cultural, titled "Planificación estratégica y movilidad artística".

The design of strategic transformation and mobility for a cultural project is not resolved with intuition; it requires planning and precise actions on the field. For the second half of the year, I adapt my methodology to the current realities and budgets of the sector through three lines of work:
New models for creators and emerging projects:
Flash Mentorship (5 sessions):Intensive online consultancy and offline follow-up. The programme has the design to produce a precise diagnosis of the cultural business model and define the basic actions of the strategic plan. At the same time, we will resolve immediately the doubts and urgent needs of daily management.
Group Mentorships:An efficient combination of common theoretical sessions and personalized individual consultancies for artist collectives. A format designed for institutions and platforms that promote the development of emerging artists and companies.
Integral strategic consultancy:Integral analysis and deep restructuring of the organization's business model. I conduct in-depth transformation processes for organizations, artistic companies, or established businesses seeking sustainable development and expanded national and international reach. (Very limited spaces available).
Customized training: Workshops, courses, and masterclasses designed specifically for associations or institutions that want to provide their closest creative ecosystem with tools for sustainable development and mobility.
